• The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care is a two-state association that represents over 100 hospice providers in North Carolina and South Carolina, providing technical assistance, education and advocacy to support local hospice programs. The website provides information on education, research and programs in the Carolinas, as well as referrals to national organizations.

In the United States and Abroad

• The Center to Advance Palliative Care helps health care professionals start and sustain palliative care programs in hospitals and other health care settings. The website includes information on building a program, palliative care seminars and training, downloadable tools and an online forum. GetPalliativeCare.org includes palliative care definitions, questionnaires and a hospital directory.
• The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization provides resources and leadership for hospice and palliative care programs. The website includes tools and research.
• The Joint Commission offers Advanced Certification for Palliative Care Programs, designed to recognize hospital impatient programs that demonstrate exceptional patient and family-centered care.
