- Beginning a Child Care Ministry: A Guide for Rural Churches (pdf) is published by The Duke Endowment and serves as a guide for churches who want to know more about starting a child care program. It includes a planning toolkit and information about the Endowment.
- To address the growing need for accessible, affordable, high quality child care in rural communities, the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center joined with leaders of the faith community in 1993 to form North Carolina's first partnership for children. This site explains the partnership and offers resources.
- Smart Start–the North Carolina Partnership for Children, North Carolina's early childhood initiative, is designed to ensure that young children enter school healthy and ready to succeed. The website offers resources from the National Technical Assistance Center.
- The N.C. Division of Child Development is a resource for parents and providers, the website includes tips on choosing quality child care.
