Supporting Latino Outreach in Rural Communities

As the Latino population continues to rise in North Carolina, many rural churches are seeing an increased number of Latino families in their pews, and language and cultural differences can be challenging. Since 1999, The Duke Endowment has awarded 77 grants totaling nearly $3.4 million to support congregational, district and conference-wide Latino outreach.
