In North Carolina and South Carolina

  • Duke Divinity School is the Endowment’s partner in providing leadership education for rural clergy. This site has information and applications for all available programs.
  • The Davidson Clergy Center in Davidson, N.C., center offers a five-day comprehensive renewal program for ministers that addresses spiritual, mental, physical and intellectual health.

In the United States and abroad

  • The Clergy Leadership Institute, founded by Episcopal priest Rev. Dr. Robert J. Voyle, provides a number of leadership training programs and coaching services to clergy of any denomination.
  • The Congregational Coach organization offers workshops and resources geared specifically to clergy in small congregations.

Evaluation

Duke Divinity School gathers feedback and evaluations from participants at all leadership education programs. The consistently high ratings for the school’s programs, plus increasing enrollments, indicate that leadership education programs are fulfilling an important need by providing opportunities for rural pastors to learn and grow.
