The website contains research and resources for providing trauma treatment and prevention services for children.
- The Center for Child and Family Policy at Duke University brings together scholars from many disciplines, policy makers and practitioners to address problems facing children in contemporary society, and is a national leader in addressing issues of early childhood adversity, education policy reform, and youth violence and problem behaviors. The website contains news articles, research publications and other resources.
- The North Carolina Council for Women/Domestic Violence Commission is a women's advocacy agency within the North Carolina Department of Administration. The website contains statistics and information on county programs.
- The South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault is a coalition of all domestic violence shelters and rape crisis centers in South Carolina. The website includes domestic violence facts and stats for South Carolina.
- The mission of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation is to improve the quality of life of the people of North Carolina. Together with The Duke Endowment, the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation funded the Domestic Violence Shelter Project.
In the United States and Abroad
- A network of shelters for battered women and their children, the Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence connects organizations and individuals concerned about the issue of domestic violence. The webpage includes information on the effects of domestic violence on children.
- Child Witness to Violence Project is a counseling, advocacy and outreach project that focuses on the growing number of young children who are hidden victims of violence. The website includes information about training events and publications.
- The National Child Traumatic Stress Network improves access to services for traumatized children, their families and communities throughout the United States. Website includes crisis response tips, questions and answers about child traumatic stress, and research.
Evaluation
The Duke Endowment is committed to a continuous review of its grants and initiatives. All projects are assessed for effectiveness, stewardship and alignment with mission. The Center for Child & Family Health and Center for Child and Family Policy at Duke University evaluated results of the Domestic Violence Shelter Screening Project.
