Our work fulfills the visionary genius and legacy of our founder James B. Duke. We apply our resources by underwriting effective practices and proven programs with a documented record of success, by supporting innovative solutions to widespread problems and by funding systems and facilities that strengthen organizations.

We work through select North Carolina and South Carolina organizations to:

Expand opportunities for vulnerable children
Improve access to quality health care
Increase access to exceptional higher education opportunities
Support rural United Methodist churches, their leaders and the communities they serve
