Benchmarks is a membership association of organizations, including children's homes, that provide critical care to children and families. It requires national accreditation for its members. This site provides information on membership and programs.

In the United States and Abroad

  • The Council on Accreditation provides accreditation for human service organizations worldwide. This site contains COA's downloadable accreditation standards and a library of tools and resources.
  • The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) is one of the largest accrediting organizations in the nation. The website includes detailed information on accreditation and certification programs, standards, performance measurement and more.
  • The Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence (EAGLE) is a national accreditation commission of the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. This site lists EAGLE's principals and offers a downloadable list of current EAGLE accredited organizations.
