In North Carolina and South Carolina
- The Center for Child and Family Policy was established at Duke University in 1999 to help find solutions to important problems affecting children and families. The website includes information about recent projects, including the Durham Family Initiative and Durham Connects.
- The Center for Child & Family Health is dedicated to restoring the normal development of children who are at risk for, or who experience maltreatment and trauma. The site contains links to local, state, national and international research and training opportunities.

- Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina is the only statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in all its forms. This site contains statewide abuse and neglect statistics and a number of resources for parents and child advocates.
- Prevent Child Abuse South Carolina (PCASC) is a statewide, community-based non-profit organization dedicated to preventing all forms of child abuse and neglect. This site contains statewide abuse and neglect statistics and a number of resources for parents and child advocates.

- The website of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families features annual data as reported by all 50 states to the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS). It includes data and statistics about types and incidences of abuse, victims, fatalities, perpetrators, services and other research.
- Child Welfare.com features 50-state, state-by-state data and information clearinghouse about many factors relating to child welfare, including abuse and neglect.
Evaluation
The Duke Endowment is committed to a continuous review of its grants and initiatives. All projects are assessed for effectiveness, stewardship and alignment with mission. Three reports have been written about the Child Abuse Prevention Initiative to highlight evaluation findings through the mid-point.
