Creating Model Child Care Centers

North Carolina has a high percentage of working parents, which means high-quality child care is essential to helping children develop their full potential. To increase the availability of high-quality child care in North Carolina, The Duke Endowment provided $7 million from 1999–2009 to create model child care centers that offer top-quality care along with training and support for other centers.
