When Melba McCallum retired from her 30-year career in education in 2007, she had no intention of taking it easy. She started a nonprofit in East Laurinburg, N.C., to make a difference for families living in poverty. Today, Partners in Ministry focuses on youth development and housing repair, providing hope for neighbors in need.
