Access to Care for Underserved Populations

The Health Care program area seeks to reduce health disparities and improve clinical outcomes by increasing access to essential services for underserved and rural populations.

Challenge

Access to essential health care services is critical to good health, yet underserved and rural populations in the Carolinas face a variety of barriers including services that are not reasonably available and obtainable.

We support projects that reach underserved populations and seek to partner with grantees to discover which care delivery approaches have the highest potential for broader scaling and sustainability.
