A.J. Calhoun

Evaluation Officer

Calhoun joined the Endowment in 2026 from Foundation for the Carolinas, where he served as Managing Director of Leading on Opportunity, the Foundation's initiative on economic mobility. His work has focused on building teams, tools, and partnerships that translate research into action to address complex social challenges in the Carolinas and beyond. He holds degrees from Furman University, the University of Chicago, and Reformed Theological Seminary. He began his career as a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia.
