Underwood joined The Duke Endowment in 2025 as a Program Analyst in the Rural Church program area. She earned degrees from the University of Georgia and The George Washington University. Before joining the Endowment, she worked as Senior Consultant in research and evaluation for BellXcel, an education nonprofit, and held roles in nonprofit, state, and local education settings.
