Joseph Mann on Program for the Carolinas

Joseph Mann on Program for the Carolinas

The Duke Endowment collaborates with long-term community partners to reverse economic decline in communities in North Carolina and South Carolina. Rural churches and local hospitals worked together to provide entrepreneurship training, educational opportunities, financial assistance and other similar projects—with mixed results. Successful programs had strong leadership, a spirit of discovery and a culture of collaboration.
