Evidence Insights
Sharing Learning. Inviting Conversation. Improving Outcomes.
Evidence Insights is the Endowment’s multi-pronged effort to report findings from our ongoing research and evaluations, highlight exemplary uses of data in the philanthropic field and share reflections from Endowment staff, grantees and peer funders about how organizations are using data to achieve better outcomes in the Carolinas.
Our goal? To find what works and inspire broader adoption. We believe when knowledge is shared and we learn alongside one another, we can drive meaningful and lasting change.
We use data and evidence to evaluate grant-supported programs, seeking to continuously learn and improve our philanthropic practice. As we evaluate programs, Evidence Insights tracks and reports on their development across a dynamic lifecycle of learning.
Early Insights – Staff and grantee learnings from pilots and initial evaluation activities.
Emerging Evidence – Previews and results of formal evidence-building activities (e.g., implementation, outcome evaluations).
Proving Impact – Previews and results of impact studies (e.g., randomized controlled trials and selected studies).
Putting Into Practice – Stories about the adoption, replications and adaptations of evidence-based strategies.
